The last in class model is a corner of the fisher house. As there are quite a lot of details, it is challenging to make by just looking at the sections and photos.

For this week, we are required to make 3 different models from the same section. We start to explore the possibilities of architecture.

We have developed skills on making contour lines after this task. Cutting smooth edges is quite hard as I am using cardboard to make the contours.

ARCH 1142 Model-it! - week one
In class model
The first in class model involves making two houses and connect them in a creative way. This is the first model that I have ever made. Although the two houses themselves are not hard to make, combining them in an interesting way can be quite challenging.

Barcelona Pavilion (Mies van der Rohe)

Managing the scale and the dimensions of the model is not easy as it is the first time for me to make a model which is to scale. As the scale of this model is quite small, some detailed parts such as the stairs and the window frames are quite hard to make and required a lot of patience. However the final product gives me a sense of achievement.
